Living like a celebrity…for a day!

On our annual trip to Seattle to see a Seattle Seahawks game, we were lucky enough to experience what it is like to stay in the Presidential Suite at one of the nicest hotels in Seattle, The Fairmont Olympic Seattle Hotel.  It was a great experience and one we definitely want to repeat in the future :).

Normally, we would not be able to afford to stay in a normal room at the Fairmont Olympic, but we managed to get a GREAT deal to go to the hotel in the first place.  Then, as we always do, we contacted the hotel to make requests, including asking for a high floor.  We recommend everyone try this, as hotels often try to accommodate your requests when there is availability.

The Fairmont Olympic was no different, they had arranged for us to be on THE top floor!  When we arrived, our room was not quite ready, so they asked if we wanted to have a complementary upgrade to the Presidential Suite!  It took us all of about three seconds to respond…YES!

Here is a look at the 2000 sq. foot (186 sq. m) room we had the luxury of spending some time in:

Yes that is a grand piano in our room!

Great View!

We were told by one of the workers that there was a big rockstar who had stayed in the exact room we were in just two weeks prior to our stay!  We definitely felt important after hearing that ;).

What is the nicest hotel room you have ever stayed in?

Unfortunately, nobody knew how to play the piano…but that didn’t stop us from trying ;). It truly was a great experience and we would love to get upgraded again in the future.
