Maui…here we come!!!!

Hawaii Big Island - Sunset

In a few weeks, we will be jetting off for the sunny island of Maui.  This will be our third time to Maui and so we know we are headed for paradise!   As one of our favourite Hawaiian islands, we are looking forward to relaxing, soaking up some sun, and going on some of Maui’s best excursions.

We have tried to find a nice balance between down time to enjoy the laid back lifestyle on Maui and exploring this beautiful island.  Here’s a run down on some of our exciting adventures to come.

Blue Hawaiian Helicopters

We are ecstatic to be working with Blue Hawaiian Helicopters, to experience our second helicopter tour!  During our first flight, we marveled at the amazing vistas we were afforded by viewing our destination from the air.  There are certain times where a bird’s eye view just can’t be beat!  We will be doing their “Maui Spectacular” tour that includes a helicopter tour of the entire island.  As an extra bonus, we will have a short stop for some refreshments at Ulupalakua Ranch, on the slopes of Haleakala, in the middle of the tour.  We hope to get some amazing views here too!  Follow us on twitter (@travels4couples) and the hashtag #flyovermaui as we explore Maui by helicopter!  Be sure to watch for some upcoming posts on this exciting excursion in Maui!

Skyline Eco Adventures

What could be more fun than flying through the air dangling from an overhead line???  Not much, we say!  We love the adrenaline rush that comes from ziplining and have done quite a bit of ziplining around the world.  However, we fell in love with it on Maui where we tried it out for the first time with Skyline Eco Adventures on their Haleakala course.

Maui - Tracy Zip-liningWe are thrilled to be working with Skyline Eco Adventures so that we can check out their other course on Maui, the Kaanapali 8 line zipline tour.  The tour is 3.5-4 hours long and is supposed to provide many spectacular views of West Maui, Molokai and Lanai while you zip through the air above a beautiful valley.  We will be sure to take lots of pictures to share with you, our readers, about this amazing adventure and let you know which course we liked best.

Maui Ocean Center

Even though we have been to Maui twice before, we have never had the chance to visit their aquarium, the Maui Ocean Center.  It is a pleasure that we get to work with Maui Ocean Center to explore everything it has to offer!  We are definitely what you would call animal lovers (especially Evan), whether it is land or marine animals, so we are pretty excited.  We have been snorkeling in Maui many times and have seen some pretty amazing stuff, so we are already imagining what mystifying creature we are going to see at the aquarium!  Keep your eyes peeled for some amazing pictures on our website of the marine life we see in the Maui Ocean Center.Bora Bora - Tropical Fish

Paragon Sailing Charters

Travels4Couples.com are always looking for the romance an area has to offer.  We are thrilled to be working with Paragon Sailing Charters, because they provide one of the most romantic experiences on the whole island!  We look forward to enjoying their Sunset & Mai Tai Catamaran Sail, where we will sail by the island as the sun sets into the ocean and we sip on some delicious Mai Tai’s!  We may even be lucky enough to spot some humpback whales (fingers crossed).  It is truly romantic to sail through the water at sunset and we can’t wait for it to be here!

Maui - Sunset

Not only are we looking forward to these great excursions but we are also really looking forward to spending a few nights of our vacation at the Westin Maui.  We stayed at this resort for our honeymoon and fell in love with our fantastic ocean view room,  the hotel’s location right on Kaanapali Beach, amazing pool area, and wonderful service.  It is definitely a romantic place to stay while in Maui and we look forward to experiencing it again!

It is pretty clear this is going to be an amazing trip!  We look forward to sharing all our adventures with you.
